The subject line in a National Observer newsletter sent to our subscribers on Tuesday, Feb. 21, incorrectly stated that Montreal was becoming a sanctuary "for oppressive regimes."

This unfortunate subject line was a typo. It was referring to an article that we published on Monday by The Canadian Press. It reported how the city of Montreal had adopted a resolution to declare itself a sanctuary for refugees trying to escape from oppressive regimes.

National Observer apologizes to the city of Montreal for this mistake and regrets the error.
