A major climate meeting was held in Egypt, and the Global North — a.k.a. the richest countries in the world — were called on to show how they will help the Global South — a.k.a. the poorest countries that contribute little to the climate crisis — with climate solutions. They didn't get a passing grade. Nor did Canada's banks, which are among the world's biggest lenders to fossil fuel companies.
