A First Nation community in northern Manitoba says ground-penetrating radar has found 150 anomalies at the site of a former residential school, including 59 unmarked graves at a nearby cemetery.

Pimicikamak Cree Nation Chief David Monias said Pope Francis fell short in his apology last week for the abuse Indigenous students faced in residential schools as the chief's First Nation prepared to investigate the site of where such an institution once stood.
