Four famous giant sequoias were not harmed by a wildfire that reached the edge of Giant Forest in California’s Sequoia National Park, authorities said.

California firefighters battled fast-growing forest fires threatening giant sequoias and small communities in the Sierra Nevada on Monday, September 27, 2021, and worked to fully surround a suspected arson wildfire that destroyed homes last week.
