Ex-hostage Joshua Boyle arrested, charged with sex assault, forcible confinement

Joshua Boyle, 34, was arrested in Ottawa, his lawyer, Eric Granger, told The Canadian Press. The 15 charges against Boyle, according to court documents, include eight counts of assault, two counts of sexual assault, two counts of unlawful confinement and one count of causing someone to "take a noxious thing, namely Trazodone," an antidepressant.

Sherman family proud Apotex founder among latest Order of Canada inductees

The family of Apotex founder Barry Sherman says they are proud he is being appointed to the Order of Canada. Sherman was nominated for his entrepreneurship in the pharmaceutical industry as well as his philanthropic support of education and other charities. The Order of Canada cannot be awarded to someone after their death, but Sherman was nominated more than six months ago.
