Dianne Saxe said in a report that Ontario has invested heavily in conserving electricity, but it’s the smallest and cleanest of the province’s major energy sources.

The Globe and Mail says it obtained a copy of the Climate Change Action Plan debated by the Ontario cabinet last week, which calls on the province to start phasing out natural gas for heating.

The cap-and-trade plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions is set to take effect next year, but businesses are still seeking details on how the revenue will be invested and administered.
