About Atanu Sarkar
Dr. Atanu Sarkar is an associate professor of environmental and occupational health, at the Division of Community Health and Humanities, Faculty of Medicine, Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador. He was trained in medicine and public health in India and studied environment at Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario. His research interests are environmental contaminations and adverse health impacts; climate change on health and food security, and adaptation; Indigenous health; and sustainable development. He has published several research papers in peer-reviewed journals, written books, edited volumes, and presented papers in various international and national conferences.
