Carolyn Kim
Carolyn Kim is the Ontario regional director with the Pembina Institute, Canada’s leading clean energy think tank. Located in the Toronto office, Carolyn leads policy research and engages with stakeholders and partners to advance solutions that respond to the most pressing transportation and planning issues, and that support the sustainable growth of Ontario’s economy and communities. With a background in transportation and land use planning, she brings over 10 years of policy and planning experience from the public, private and not-for-profit sectors to the role.
Prior to joining the Pembina Institute, she worked at the Ontario Ministry of Transportation to support a range of transportation and transit policy initiatives. Carolyn is a registered planner with the Ontario Professional Planners Institute and a member of the Canadian Institute of Planners. She holds a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Toronto and bachelor’s degree in urban and regional planning from Ryerson University.
