Dene Moore
Dene Moore is a writer and freelance journalist who lives in a cozy cabin in Cariboo region of British Columbia. She is an editor with a wide range of experience from daily news and investigative journalism to travel features. She's written for a variety of publications such as the Globe and Mail, Postmedia, Maclean's magazine, Women in Business magazine.
In her 20 years in the journalism industry - most of them at The Canadian Press news agency - she's been acting bureau chief, news editor, copy editor and 24-7 reporter. She's worked in bureaus from Vancouver to St. John's, NL, and points in-between, including Afghanistan.
Since leaving daily journalism, she has worked on Indigenous rights, as a treaty team member for the Northern Secwepemc te Qelmucw.
