About Gauri Sreenivasan

Gauri Sreenivasan has worked for progressive causes in civil society, parliamentary and academic spheres for over 25 years, joining the Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives as policy and research director in 2018. She holds a M.A. in International Affairs from Carleton University.

Gauri was previously policy and program director at the Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences, the national platform for Canada’s scholars and students in the humanities and social sciences. Prior to that, she worked on Parliament Hill, as director of parliamentary affairs for the Official Opposition New Democratic Party. This built on over a decade of leadership in advocacy, research and policy engagement on issues of international trade, investment and human rights.
