About Jennifer Casson

Canadian Olympic rower Jennifer Casson was born in Quebec and moved to Kingston, Ont. at age 12. Casson started rowing at age 17 and just a year later, earned a rowing scholarship to the University of Tulsa. In 2016, she was invited to a Rowing Canada training camp for those under 23-years old. After graduation, she again rowed with the under-23 Canadian Team. In 2022, Casson and her partner her partner, Jill Moffat, finished seventh in the September 2022 World Championships. In 2023, they won the Henley doubles championship and finished the year ranked fourth in the world, qualifying for the Paris Olympics. Casson is not afraid to speak out about challenging issues. “Speaking up when it’s uncomfortable and stating the truth with clarity is crucial, whether we’re talking about abuse or climate change,” she says “Athletes, with our platforms, must step up to help people see what’s happening with our climate and how we can spark a turnaround.”
