About Kate Moran
Kate Moran is the President & CEO, Ocean Networks Canada. Her previous appointment was professor and associate dean at the University of Rhode Island Graduate School of Oceanography. Prior to her appointment at Ocean Networks Canada, Moran was seconded to the Obama White House Office of Science and Technology Policy where she served as an Assistant Director and focused on Arctic, polar, ocean, the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, and climate policy issues. Moran is active in public outreach on topics related to the Arctic, ocean observing, climate change, and ocean-based carbon removal. To hear more about the ocean, go to her TEDx talk.
