Kristy Faccer
Kristy Faccer is a program manager at the Pacific Institute for Climate Solutions (PICS), hosted and led at the University of Victoria. Hosted and led at UVic, PICS is a four-university, user-engaged institute, including the University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University and University of Northern British Columbia.
Faccer has almost two decades of experience working in Canada and internationally as an advisor, researcher and practitioner in the fields of climate change and sustainability. She has been invited to speak and participate in projects on nearly every continent and in the process, engage with and learn from leaders and innovators across all sectors of society.
Faccer’s written work has appeared in peer-reviewed journals, books and the popular media and covered topics such as corporate sustainability, the green economy and climate resilience. She is a trained facilitator, holds a master’s degree from the University of Toronto and recently completed a mid-career PhD in management at the University of Cape Town Graduate School of Business. Through her research and work, Faccer focuses on mobilizing change across boundaries and organizational processes that support climate and sustainability action and integration.
