Mardi Klevs
Mardi Klevs was an employee of the Region 5 (Chicago) office of the United States Environmental Protection Agency for more than 33 years. Her portfolio included the management of the toxic chemicals and pesticides programs. She is an environmental engineer, with a M.S. in Environmental Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology. Prior to entering the environmental field, Mardi taught history and political science at the college level, as well as worked in factories, serving as a health and safety representative for her union. She has a M.A. from the University of Minnesota in History and a B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley in Sociology. Post retirement, Mardi is a member of Third Act ,an organization of 70,000 Americans over the age of sixty determined to safeguard our climate and democracy.
