Mario Canseco
Mario Canseco is the President of Research Co. Mario has analyzed and conducted public opinion research since 2003, designing and managing research projects for clients across the private and public sectors, as well as non-profit organizations and associations. From 2013 to 2017, Mario established Insights West’s electoral forecasting program, issuing 23 correct predictions of democratic processes in Canada and the United States, including the 2015 Metro Vancouver Transportation and Transit Plebiscite, the 2015 Alberta provincial election, the 2016 United States presidential election, and the 2017 British Columbia provincial election. Throughout his career, Mario coordinated research teams for a global public opinion firm that operated in Canada, the United States and Britain, worked as an editorial researcher for Peter C. Newman’s books “The Secret Mulroney Tapes” and “Here Be Dragons”; as a research and communications specialist for the Liu Institute for Global Issues at UBC; and in various journalistic roles around the world. Mario holds a Masters of Journalism from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelors in Communications.
