Sharon Polsky
Sharon Polsky is president of the Privacy and Access Council of Canada and president of AMINA Consulting Corp., and a contributing writer to the Centre for International Governance Innovation. She has spent her career advising corporations and governments, as well as parliamentary, senate and legislative committees, about privacy, access, civil liberties implications and unintended consequences of emerging laws and technologies. Sharon co-authored the Statement of Ethical Principles and Professional Conduct for the privacy, access and data protection profession, and developed the National Standard of Competency and certification criteria for the profession. She currently serves on several Canadian and international standards-development committees, for university course development councils, and as an adviser for the National Cybersecurity Consortium.
