Stephen Hazell is an environmental lawyer and the founder of Ecovision. He has led several national environmental organizations including Sierra Club Canada and Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society and served as director of regulatory affairs at the Canadian Environmental Assessment Agency. Hazell served as policy director and general counsel at Nature Canada until December 2019, and continues to serve as emeritus counsel. Hazell has also taught environmental law at the Faculty of Law at the University of Ottawa.
